EDN Assists Aqua Pennsylvania with PFAS Groundwater Investigation
Essential Utilities Inc. subsidiary Aqua Pennsylvania, has received approval by the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Authority for a PENNVEST grant to construct a treatment facility at two well stations in Horsham Township, Montgomery County. The treatment will remove per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The $5.5 million grant, will help support Aqua’s construction of new ion exchange contactors and related well station improvements.
EDN performed geophysical logging and packer testing to evaluate the vertical extent of PFAS contamination in the two wells and technical consulting in support of Aqua's grant application.
We appreciate the opportunity to work with Aqua on this important project.
